A daunting task, for sure, but if anyone has it in them, I would love to see a complete list from one of our better historians that included each of the 50 states.

Looking for your opinion concerning the best fighter from a given state, on an all-time basis.

First person to reply wins a free copy of SMM (which should be done in several weeks).

Me neither! And I live here!

But I can start with my home state and go with Charley Burley...him over Conn, Frazier, Holmes, Zivic and even Greb...wait a minute, I'm at an impasse...

Well, if I pull out a map I probably could; but do we need to talk about North and South Dakota? Wyoming?

Man, you guys are so much better than me on this, I will bow out as gracefully as I can.

But I will humbly ask Hatesrats, someone from my current state...Holmes over all those other guys?

Wasn't Dempsey from Colorado? I'd like to say Ezzard Charles from Ohio, but I think he's actually from Georgia. Perhaps we could say either Bivins or Lloyd Marshall from Ohio. Maybe also Bobo Olson from Hawaii, Liston from Arkansas, Freddie Steele from Washington and Zora Folley from Arizona.
