    OMG! you are right! I know it was Manassa, but Montana seemed to sing better when I was trying to think of the state. Thanks! Georgia would probably have to go to Holyfield though. Carbajal from Arizona could be debateble for that state.

    And wasn't Sugar originally from Detroit, Michigan that is? I read one of his biographies years back, and I'm pretty sure he was in his late teens or older when he moved to Harlem.

    Joe Louis is probably Alabama's best, Holyfield deserves a mention aswell, Carbajal probably from Arizon. Liston is arguably the best from Arkansas, Jack Dempsey would be Colorado's best boxer, Pep from Connecticut. Georgia's probably Ezzard Charles, Florida Jones Jr maybe, Bobo Olson from Hawaii.

    I agree with most of these, though it may get a little tougher when we get to the bigger states. California? New York? I think Pennsylvania is still in play.
