His offensive prowess was pretty flawed in Montreal against the smaller Duran which is why he abondoned that aproach for his rematch v Duran.

 

Mugabi mainly waited and counter punched v Hagler who displayed a far better offense than Mugabi in that fight.

 

That may be but he had to fight like that against a great champion like Hagler was ...in his previous fights he was very agressive

Edwin Valero his record speaks for itself as well as him being a bonafide nut job. Many were looking forward to him fighting the likes of Pac-Man, Marquez etc but it wasn’t to be .

Funnily that applies to the whole fab fiur. They all had great offense.

 

There's no shame or belittling, for any great fighter who fell short against a full on offensive, full metal jacket Marvin Hagler when they chose to fight Haglers kind of offensive fight.
