Who was the last fighter to be hyped like GGG without even proving himself?

    Lomachenko is the most hilarious hype-job of the last decade. People here were literally calling him GOAT after one fight.

    Macklin is absolutely B+. He arguably beat Sturm and acquitted himself well against the division #1 in Martinez. The B-/C level opposition he has faced (Russ, Alcine, Asikainen, etc) he has beaten handily. That is the definition of a B+ fighter.

    Stevens has struggled in the past, but now he is in the division that is right for him and is fighting often against solid opponents. He crushed two tough guys in Roman and Majewski and had a moments against GGG. His power is more than just heavy hands. It's probably the best in the division beside Golovkin and maybe Quillin.

    Calzaghe to this day. Robbery win vs 43 year old geezer is his best accomplishment

    Never beat a top level fighter in their prime EVER - includes Kessler

    Golovkin makes less than $500K/fight on HBO.

    Calzaghe is definitely, King of the Hypes.

    You might say he is the Father of the modern hyped boxer with 90% of his resume filled with British bums like;

    -Darren Littlewood
    -Karl Barwise
    -Spencer Alton
    -Paul Hanlon
    -Robert Curry
    -Tyrone Jackson
    -Guy Stanford
    - and 13-22 Carlos Christie

    :rofl
