before you say he hasn't faced good competition he is going to have faced Bakhtov and Sprott by about the end of his first year along with Airich and avila(a guy who went 9 with a top 10 ranked guy)

the only fighter i can think of is Lewis, Povetkin moved at a good pace too and so did Solis

    Josh Parker.

Helenius too, his 10th fight was Bidenko and his 11th Lamon frickin' Brewster.

Wait, Joshua - Bakhtov is for WBC international? This is rather fast and will guarantee him ranked in top 10. Povetkin holds the title now which he will drop because Povetkin - Takam is for WBC Silver.

awh yes a year after turning pro , Wilder was fighting the powerhouse that was 3 fight novice Jerry Vaughn

2 years after turning pro Wilder was fighting Dan Sheehan, a guy with a record of 11-39 and was even a **** light heavyweight

3 years after turning pro was fighting Marlon Hayes a guy with a record of 23-10 and was actually a middleweight and having his first fight at heavyweight:lol:

4 years after turning pro Wilder was wind milling away at the likes of Nicolai Firtha 21-8, who in fairness is a low level journeyman

5 years after turning pro Wilder wilder was facing journeymen like Jason Gavern 25-17. Gavern recently got beaten by soon to be Joshua opponent Sprott

i think an argement could be made for Joshua doing more in 1 year than Wilder has done in 5

i think its great, super heavyweight in the amatuers is the strongest its ever been, why should he go from facing the best in the world to facing **** for a few years, he will only develop bad habits. As long as he keeps blowing them away keep moving him quick

The rate at which Oleg Maskaev was moved takes some beating.

1st fight - Alexander Miroshnichenko (21-0) Olympic bronze medalist, world amateur silver medalist, 2 x European bronze medalist, 3 x Soviet champion.

7th fight - Oliver McCall (26-6). McCall had just lost his WBC title in his previous fight six months earlier against Frank Bruno (he had Bruno hanging n for dear life in the last round) and had beaten Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, and Francesco Damiani in his previous six fights prior to facing Maskaev.

    12th fight - David Tua (26-0 (24).

And in his 13th and 15th fights respectively he fought Alex Stewart who was 41-6 (39 KOs) and Courage Tshabalala (23-2(20 KOs)

Maskaev fought 5 undefeated opponents in his first 12 fights.
