Who was the last Latino boxer loved by all?

Not everything in boxing is about floyd:-(( Marquez's boxing skills are awesome and this year he will probably take that tittle of "most loved by latinos" but its hard after what morales did against maidana!

Who other than in my opinion though some may disagree the greatest Mexican all around in skills Marquez. Never lets anyone down and is very respectful:good Tito was the last popular Latino that had respect by many, no one miss a Tito fight no matter where you were from. Come on you could hear Titos name in Jay Z and Nas lyrics, you cant argue with that

 

Everyone I've ever spoken to about Alexis Arguello felt he was a class act and a great fighter.

 

no one hated morales except for maybe for a couple of die-hard barrera fans. over-all he was loved by all.

I went to the Leonard/Duran III fight back in 89 with a group of 400 from the UK & 95% of those were all for Duran & yer could spot the Leonard wanks as they all took their girlfriends no doubt for protection

I met Russians/Germans/French/Dutch/Australians/New Zealanders/Canadians/Spanish/Italions, some Swedes/Norwegians & a couple of blokes flew in from iceland, some japs as well were in Bally's over for the fight.

No other Latin fighter comes remotly close to having a global fan base as duran had & still does as he is the true fighting man's ICON.:happy:bbbD
