    Wouldn't it also be valid that Moorer was so destructive at 175 none of the top fighters would fight him so he HAD to move up so his career wouldn't stagnate?

    No, Him and Hill agreed to a fight. But Hill lost to Hearns and Moorer moved up in weight because he couldn't make the limit.

    I've provided the actual quotes from Steward in this thread. He said Moorer was 206 between fights, and if they couldn't get Hill NOW they were going to HW.

    Moorer will never be mentioned amongst the greatest light heavies, not even DM. But the fact is in his short time spent there he was 100% destructive and sent all the other top fighters scrambling for some place to hide like ****roach when the lights are turned on. This in itself is testament to his power at 175 and most certainly should be taken into consideration. But you're right, one would have had to been alive and following the sport back then to understand.

    Don't compare their careers. One fought most of his fight there while the other moved up early in theirs. Compare their first 22 fights and see who was more destructive at the weight.

    Very disrespective of Virgil Hill.

    Hill agreed to face Moorer, this is documented. Hill stepped in the ring with Hearns and Roy Jones, and went to Germany to fight Haske and DM. Fought a huge CW puncher in Mormeck twice. And your calling him a roach scrambling from a light.

    I'm not sure why you are incapable of praising your favorite fighters without having to unfairly bash others.

    This is question regarding the WBO title not first 22 fights. You are the one being invalid. If DM had more knockouts against higher quality opponents as WBO Champion..than my god, he is the more destructive WBO Champion.

    Hill was actually one of my favorite fighters from the '84 Olympic team being he was from boxing obscure ND, and yes he fought some excellent fighters. But the FACT is he did not fight Moorer. He agreed? What were the contract stipulations?

    Moorer was only at the weight for 22 fights I think.

    Moorer is not the most destructive lhw ever.

    Imo he is more destructive at the weight than Kovalev is considering. Kovalev could become more brutal as time goes by, but right now using the eye test, Moorer seemed to do more damage with either hand than Kovalev. I'm only comparing them right now after 22-24 fights. Moorer didn't have a full career at lhw.
