Impossible comparison now (because it still is so early into Kovalev's run) and probably any time (because Moorer pulled up his tent stakes and went chasing the money at HW after such a short time, leaving a powerful impression but a lot of questions...)

You're welcome to your opinion, and I could entertain the idea of Kov stopping him as much as I could Moorer stopping Kovalev. Moorer was only stopped at heavy by foreman, Holy and Tua...i dont think Sergay has the power of any of them. I also think guys like Shultz and Jirov was naturally harder punching fighters until Kovalev moved up and proves otherwise. Until then this is pretty much 50/50 in my opinion with me leaning slightly towards MM because we know he did in fact successfully move up. As far as Moorer top 5? Kind of irrelevant since he was avoided at light heavy more than GGG is at 160.

To early to make this claim as we cannot say how Kovalev will transition to a higher weight.

A heavyweight David haye will decapitate kovolev. The man is no defensive wizard. Hes there to be hit and with that chin of he's that got shattered with headgear on. He will be found out at heavyweight by much larger men. This guys skill level is basic, however he does have exceptional power.

So, exactly WHO has Kovalev been in the ring with that comes close to Holyfield's status?

What if they never do? Isn't that like saying Virgil Hill and Prince Charles Williams, Jeff Hardind and Denis Andries would have been knocked out cold by Moorer he they accepted his challenges while at 175?

You haven't answered the question, Genius. I'll ask again for the benefit of those who are reading comprehensively challenged.

Exactly HOW many times did Moorer's "glass jaw" get shattered @ LHW?

Who exactly has Kovalev beaten that's a comparable puncher to Moorer at 175?

And if you want to get technical about the thread and my original post I asked who was more destructive at 175 and who had more upside. So being technical its obviously Moorer since he had a 100% ko ratio there. Looking at the upside its obviously Moorer since he was so ducked at light heavy he had to move up to heavyweight and won the lineal title from a prime all time great. Can you argue either of these things since you want to be right to the letter concerning my opening post?

Pac eventually being a 140 lb champion doesn't mean he had more upside as a flyweight when he was killing himself to make weight.

Likewise, Moorer winning a heavyweight championship doesn't impact his 175 lb resume or potential at the weight had he continued draining himself to make it. Heck of an accomplishment? Of course. But when you're talking 175, it doesn't come in to play.

OK so your first question is who has Kovalev beaten that's a comparable puncher to Moorer at 175? Answer: No one.

I only referenced his career at heavy to show his jaw wasn't as bad as you wanted to make it seem. Fact is he was never stopped at 175, and only stopped in his career 3 times...twice against ATG's, once against an ATG puncher. Can you put Kovalev in either of these categories based on what he's done so far? Answer: No.

What exactly am I losing, an opinion based argument? Lmao!! How do you know Sergays career is only a third of the way in? Are you just making that up or do you have a crystal ball?

And as far as my objectivity goes...I said its close whoever you choose, you're the bozo trying to claim Kovalev is unequivocally better even though you've never seen Moorer fight at 175. Of course we all know why you're so adamant in picking Sergay, its obvious in every one of you posts and every thread you enter.

Exactly HOW is this any different from Kovalev and the TOMATO CANs he's Krushed?

So who came close to stopping Moorer @ 175?

Moorer has proven to be an even bigger puncher.

    Stop ducking the question.

Exactly HOW is Moorer's career @ 175 any different from Kovalev and the TOMATO CANs he's Krushed?

The same level of TOMATO CAN that Kovalev has made a career out of Krushing. However, Moorer carried his power up to heavyweight. Like I said, Moorer has PROVEN to be the bigger puncher...
