Who was the more destructive 175 WBO belt holder?

I'll address it in another post. No redirection here- just Moorer's top wins at 175, please. If you've got more than 5 good wins, feel free to keep listing- I've got no intentions of shortchanging Mike's accomplishments there.

Precisely. His punch resistance and power increased as he went up in weight.

A fighter having higher weight success doesn't necessarily mean those attributes translate to the original lower weight, especially if we're talking about a 20+ pound difference.

The question can be asked of Moorer being more destructive at 175 than Kovalev. You can do the same with Pac and any Flyweight of recent memory, but Pac was not as destructive at Flyweight as some think.

 

So who is/was more destructive?

 

Cleverly is going to give Kovalev the edge in competition at LHW. Cleverly going into that fight was regarded as the top two or three LHW in the world. He had never been knocked down before in 26 fights and Kovalev just demolished him, he had to be carried to his corner.

And he actually killed Simakov who was regarded as good fighter. God forbid, its a horrible tragedy but that is pretty destructive considering the question being asked.

After being counted out, Simakov lost consciousness and was removed from the ring on a makeshift stretcher. He underwent brain surgery but never regained consciousness and died on December

Moorer knocked everyone out at 175. EVERYONE if memory serves.

The eye test for me is Moorer.

Moorer imo hit harder with either hand too at 175.

 

Moorer had tremendous hand speed and snap at LW to he was the most devastating i've seen at LW...i wish he could have fought Hill and the better comp there but he was just to big and couldn't keep cutting that much weight, Donald Curry could have used this as insite had Moorer had been around at that time, Moorer did the right thing for his body and moved up....I wish Curry had done this sooner....
