The two Heavyweights that spring to most peoples minds, are Ali and Tyson.

Approaching it from a different angle, who would you say is the most popular White Heavyweight Champion of all time?

I'm talking about whilst they fight, not who has gained the most nostalgia fueled love.

Dempsey endured boos for several fights, the tide turned when he lost to Tunney.

Dempsey and Sullivan were the biggest draws in their own time.

I'm curious, if anybody is willing to make an argument for the K Brothers, given their considerable star power in Europe.

Rocky Marciano. The press may have picked him apart about his style or lack of but I think the fans liked him. His fights meant excitement. There was gonna be action in a Marciano fight.

Dempsey in his time was far more popular than Marciano imo. Marciano could never draw 100 thousand people to come watch him fight.

I don't think he was even close to being as big as Sullivan or Dempsey during his own career.

    Probably not.

Jeffries might have had the biggest aura of invincibility of any of them, but he was not a popular champion.

Sort of like Klitschko without the European fan base.

Dempsey was certainly the biggest draw,

but he was often the villain until he lost to Tunney.

Jeffries seems to have never been very popular but did have an "aura of invincibility" about him.

Marciano seems to have been generally well-liked, but without the "aura" of the other two, but ended up with a better record which explains his long-lasting popularity.
