To be fair Wlad has more claim to being a linear champ than Floyd who beat Canelo at a catchweight who only beat Trout and who had his division cleared out by Lara.

But still the main guy in Wlads division will always be Vitali so his claim just another bogus one. Maybe less had he beaten Sanders in a rematch

Of course, and they will change again.

It doesn't make any difference, at all. As a concept it's probably MORE important now.

It matters because he bypassed the leading contender so how can he be the 'man'

How can Floyed be the 'man' when he never fought Pacman.

How important is the Ring magazine belt in being Lineal Champion??

Lineal champ has nothing to do with owning a number of belts. You become lineal champ either by beating the current lineal champ or - if none is available - it is determined between the #1 and #2 of the division.

#1 Wlad beat #2 Povetkin and is therefore the universally recognized lineal HW champion.

Irrelevant. One could argue however that The Ring HW rankings are important in determining who is a division's #1 and #2.

That has been explained to you, but your determination not to understand shines through as always.

This has become rather embarrassing now.

Because Pacquiao has fought at 154lbs exactly once at a catchweight, which is something you've already been whining about in this thread.

    Jesus Christ.

If Wlad vs Chagaev was really for the Lineal Heavyweight Championship of the World then how come HBO or Showtime did not televise it?

Very. Ring ran the generally accepted #1 set of rankings who operated without the influence of promoters or fighters etc., for years upon years.

A series of scandals culminating in their purchase by one of the world's biggest promoters has rendered them pretty much irrelevant now though.

The LHW division was lacking a lineal champion for more than 10 years I believe from the 80s to the 90s. Did that make the crown lose its meaning? You're an idiot.

I can't be called an 'idiot' by somebody who believes Chisora is a better version of Frazier.

You lose very argument with me just by existing.
