In your opinion who was the best and closest to a world title from Thailand in recent years? others names can be : - Anuchai Donsua - Adiran Chanthong "Saenghiran Lookbanyai" - Satanmuanglek CP Freshmart - Palangpol CP Freshmart - Phissanu Chimsunthom "Wisanu Por Nobnum Kokietgym" - Aran Dipaen "Kennakorn GPP Ruakaimook" - Tasana Salapat "Petch CP Freshmart" - Wira Mikham "Singwancha" - Danai Ngiabphukhiaw - Prasitsak Phaprom "Kwanpichit OnesongchaiGym" - Wicha Phulaikhao "Pigmy Kokietgym" - Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr
I think Satanmuanglek could have become champion if he challenged for WBO or IBF belt what a pity he stopped too soon. Tasana Salapat still has a really impressive record. Danai Ngiabphukhiaw made an impressive performance against Panya Pradabsri for the WBC Mini-Flyweight / Strawweight Championship, I invite you to watch it.
I forgot Tewa Kiram " Teerachai Kratingdaenggym" or "Teerachai Sithmorseng" the guy was in top 10 in the world in Super Welterweight and have his chance for to be a world challenger again but he retired before. That's sad.
Even though it has been a long time since he fought, I liked Napapol .. and I agree about Satanmuanglek... he did well enough against his Japanese title opponent but I cant remember his name... wish he would have kept boxing after his loss.. did he go to Muay Thai?
Sirichai Thaiyen was pretty good, He had a great war with Koki Eto in Japan. I liked Nawaphon too - I was expecting him to win a title when He was coming up. Did not quite make it on top level though.
Satanmuanglek was a WMC & 2 times Thai Champion & former WMO World Champions & former Three Times Lumpinee Stadium Champions. He retired from Muay Thai at 28 only two years after he retired from Boxing.
Was his Muay Thai career successful after he quit boxing or were his accomplishments made before he started boxing?
