Who`s the shortest fighter that would have stood a chance against Ali in a match-up, Frazier beat Ali and he was 5`10 but could a shorter fighter have beaten Ali? This thread is aimed at some forum user that said a modern cruiser could beat Ali. (I know most modern cruisers are taller than Frazier).

Frazier’s height can be very deceiving, since during his career whenever he was outside the ring he always wore shoes with a giant heel on it, but according to Foreman Frazier was 5’9”.

Here is an early photo of Frazier with his footwear with a giant heel.

Here is Foreman talking about Frazier.

What kind of fighter Joe Frazier was:
"When that bell would ring if you were King Kong you better put your cup as close to your head because he was coming. There would be no backing down. Frazier was not a big man at all. Frazier was about 5-9 but he would make anyone run. Put up your dukes and cover up because he's coming. He never backed up from anyone."

No boxer in history shorter than Frazier defeat Ali in a boxing ring under boxing rules.
Probably some of the other combat sports participants could under their rules like Greco-Roman wrestling, or UFC.
But no, no fighter in history shorter than Frazier beat Ali. Hell, in my opinion no boxer taller than him beats him either.
He was simply the greatest heavyweight that has lived.

    Heard him claim that

But there's no video footage of it

This is the closest thing that I could find on his height

    This content is protected

At around 1:42 u can see the top of his head at around 5'11" ... But he's standing in front of the chart ... So he's likely under 5'11" ... Id say he was between 5'10 and 5'11" at his peak ... Which is slightly taller than the average man in the USA but obviously short for a heavyweight champion
