A little irony is lost on you son? PERNELL WHITAKER!! I think it's ludicrous to talk about "smart fighters" without introducing to the mix The PEA. He was obviously smarter than Hopkins, Jones OR Toney. Think outside of the box a little, it won't hurt you.

Not a knock on the other guys, but yer, Hopkins ring smarts is one of his strengths, particularly later on in his career. Jones knows a lot about the sport as well and believe me it takes a lot of ring smarts to do what he did in his prime. Ok, he was super talented but he also set up all sorts of traps. Regardless all 3 know what they're doing in the ring.
