trying to remember a performance by a defending heavyweight champ that was worse than peter last night...can't think of one...
worse than buster douglas v holyfield...

vitali didnt knock him out...but looked like he could at any time...peter hit him with virtually nothing...

i know styles make fights...and peter couldnt get near him...but he did nothing..like nothing to defend his title...

what was a worse defending performance than that ?

it looked like a dad teaching his 8 year old kid to box...

Yes it has got to be Peter, there have been others who were bad but this guy was just a fat lazy ****. Even when he won the title it was due to cheating and hitting constantly behind Maskeavs head.

Vitali Klitschko is also one of the most talented fighters ever in the heavyweight division.

Samuel peter is far from the worst heavyweight champion of all time in my opinion, he would easily KO ruiz, rjj and a few others

Bruce Seldom's very gutsy display against Mike Tyson.

I dont think he would beat Ruiz, based on both of their recent form.

I would actually have Douglas's performance vs Holyfield as the worst.U got to take into account Douglas was coming off (seen at the time) the biggest upset in boxing history. And done so in style.

Peter hasnt really ever looked the goods so him getting schooled by a olympic gold medallist and very skilled big man in Vitali comes as no surprise to most of us.

Shannon Briggs comes to my mind, or Lyakovich who was, after getting it from Brewster in a real war, was a disgrace against Briggs
