Probably Buck Smith for the first one. He was really never more than a journeyman, but he racked up nearly 200 wins fighting mostly novices and journeymen for a couple decades.

Smith wasn't world-class at all, but he won a ton. He probably has the most wins in modern boxing history for someone who was never rated at all (I believe). He retired in 2009.

Smith did beat a guy named Rocky Berg, who finished with 62 wins and 40 losses. He wasn't very good.

As for current fighters, will have to think about that one.

Yeah, he was a regular fixture on ESPN boxing in the late 80s and early 90s. I believe he fought three times in one day once at three different shows. Or maybe it was just twice. He would just get in his car and drive from show to show. Usually was on the early undercard. Never really sparred.

Butterbean perhaps? No skills other than a punch, 77 wins over tomato cans, 10 losses including a loss to a 50+ y/o Larry Holmes, and fought the majority of his fights in 4 rounders.

No. It gets worse. He was actually better years before fighting Holmes.

I’m thinking that Argentina has the answer. I’m too busy to check boxrec atm.

Also no offense to these guys, they are just active journeymen who also get matched (or did at one point in time) with other journeymen/novices that they could get W's against.

Ahh that bring s back memories.
I can remember watching that and assuming that Laing had gotten his act together, Again, and should beat this journeyman.
    Ah well.

Someone posted a recent SA interview with Buck on here. He sounds fine for having had so many fights. I think he was actually ranked at one point. I do remember the Ring article with the pic of him sitting in his Honda Civic that took him from fight to fight. He's a hard guy not to like.
