Fury is a good man. klitchko's are control freaks, and soon you will see the power drawn out of wlad as Too fast relieves him off his belts.

    Grow up.

This is what I said about being hard for you to fathom.

You cant comprehend how poorly Clay was thought of and the massive difference in opinion now.

You're fooling yourself badly man. So Ali was an annoying big mouth who was dropped by a lighter man, he was still the youngest olympic gold medalist with amazing skills unlike Fury and that's what defines fights. Not a big mouth.

Im not fooling myself at all. Read on.

"Of 58 sportswriters polled before the fight, 55 picked Liston to win and the vast majority thought he'd end matters quickly. In retrospect it's difficult to believe Clay was such a profound underdog but at the time several compelling reasons fueled their opinions.

First, Liston was a textbook fighter with a complete ****nal of deadly punches while Clay broke every imaginable rule of boxing fundamentals. He kept his hands too low. He leaned away from punches instead of slipping them. He never punched to the body. He knew nothing about fighting in the trenches. His hook and uppercut – which he used rarely – were average at best.

Second, Clay had a questionable chin. He suffered a flash knockdown against Sonny Banks and was nearly knocked senseless by Henry Cooper in his most recent fight eight months earlier. The punch that floored Clay both times: The left hook. And what was Liston's best punch? The left hook.

Third, despite the 14 knockouts in his 19-0 record and the fact that he had stopped 10 of his last 11 opponents, Clay didn't appear to have the one-punch power to earn Liston's respect.

Finally, the experts thought the 22-year-old Clay was mentally unstable and lacked the maturity to be world heavyweight champion. Those criticisms seemingly were confirmed the morning of the fight when Clay instigated the most chaotic weigh-in ceremony the boxing world had ever seen."

    Very good comparisions.

also should be noted that klitchko has lost 3times all by KO before this fight. Liston wasnt seen as that vulnerable..

Gotta admit, there are some similarities  My point stands though, despite all the supposed flaws in Ali's game, the reason he was a huge underdog was because Liston had some kind of an invincible aura. Now Wlad seems faded and he started to show his age, the reason Fury is a big underdog now is not because Wlad looked invincible in his last fights, but because people including me don't see anything in Fury to threaten Wlad, simply different levels like in the case of GGG-Lemieux. But I respect your opinion now :conf

    Youv just reiterated my points!

You dont see anything in Fury to threaten Wlad like NO ONE saw anything in Clay to bother Liston. Not mature enough, no power, no chin and no punch variety or inside or rough game.

Fury will beat Wlad and in a few years it will be hard to imagine how weak you thought he was.

    What's with the hate, jebas.

We get it, you're preparing the grounds to call Fury a bum once Wlad sparks him, but isn't the usual strategy to fight say he knocks Wlad out first, and only AFTER the fight to start "exposing" him?

Was 180lb Henry Cooper good prep to face Sonny Liston?

You could also ask who has been good prep for Wlad to face Tyson Fury?

C'mon man! You can at least admit Fury should've fought Price, Ustinov, Pulev, Teper and TT instead of Cunningham, Hammer and Chisora twice. My opinion? Team Fury wasn't sure he could beat those guys. And Wlad fought every possible challenges so far, prepared for any styles.

Thats your opinion and you will see what that is worth if Wlad goes through with the fight.

Im not comparing Ali to Fury im comparing the circumstances.

Read the quote I posted to see what the opinion on Clay used to be.
It was worse than is towards Fury now but yet now Ali has earned the right to be called the greatest. Give Fury time and you will see. Theres a reason Haye pulled out twice but fought Wlad with an injury.

A lot of people are judging Tyson on his physique and being dropped by Steve Cunningham. Holmes physique was worse and Cunningham was a ripped to shreds world class 210lb fighter. Clay got nearly knocked out by fringe 180lb fighter. Haye was only 3lbs heavier than Cunningham when he was regarded as Wlads most dangerous opponent.
