I saw it as a Solis round but the KD made it even.

The first round was a draw, but Vitali was stalking and you could tell it was only a matter of time before the characteristic Vitali beat down was going to occur.
Solis seemed genuinely buzzed from that shot to the top of the head, so whether or not he hurt his leg he would have had a 10-8 round....followed by a prolonged beating Shannon Briggs style. He may have lucked out with the knee injury

    Who was winning?

    Who gives a s**t

Solis lost by knockout and should have pulled out but instead got paid and made everyone who went to the fight and bought it on PPV look like mugs

He lost by knockout, no one gives a s**t if he was winning the round of not

Exactly! people is making too much of a deal out of the rumor that Solis might have won the 1st round! Even if he did he still had 11 rounds in front of him! God! You simple cannot base a fight on the 1st round...

Solis was winning the round, Vitali looked ancient and had nothing in his punches.

Gomez and Sanders won the first round against Vitali. Should they also get a rematch?

So let me get this straight.

Solis is pot shotting for a round. Lands a couple of hands which don't bother Vitali at all. Then Vitali lands a *SINGLE* punch and Solis crumbles to the floor, then injures himself.

How on earth does that justify a rematch?

Do you hear any number of boxing fans crying for a rematch? The boxing fans in attendance wanted their money back. They were throwing plastic cups and whatever else they could at Solis when he made his way out of the arena.

Nobody, absolutely nobody would ever pay to see a rematch between Vitali - Solis.

The way Vitalli controls the ring with that jab is quite impressive , flicks it out constantly waiting to land the right, he has a really awkward style. There looked like hope for Solis but that was shattered by the end of the round. I think anyone saying Solis was ahead by the end of the round were backing him anyway. Vitalli did enough to win that round.
