I don't get what the judges are seeing in these Taylor fights... Pavlik was, IMO, winning the fight by at least 2 points and that's counting the KD. :-(
Its obvious this was a close fight going into that round. Telling everyone to re-watch it will not change their points of view. It was very close with some rounds going either way. The poll indicates this.
JT has obviously perfected the art of making the judges believe he is winning when he is really behind or fighting dead even. Its like he's ****ing Derren Browne in there, I can't understand how he does it, is it because he has such good technique that he LOOKS like he should be winning the fight?
No Taylor was landing clean alot of the time. Hell, he was landing some hard shots too. Pavlik was applying good pressure and landing some shots, but missing alot as well. It was a good close fight.
I agree Taylor fought a good fight last night, I had him up by 1pt. when he was KO'd, I don't understand the 3pt margin the judges had, that was insane.
I had round 2 as 10-7. 10-8 to me is a round where someone scores a knockdown but isn't in deep water.
I can't see how anyone could think Pavlik was ahead going into the 7th, he lost every round apart from the 3rd. Maybe the 4th could have been scored an even round or slightly to Pavlik but that's it, he certainly wasn't ahead.
1st PAvlik 10-9. Taylor started strong but PAvlik took over and was busier from the middle to the end of the round, it was close but I think PAvlik 2nd Taylor 10-8 dominated and knocked down Pavlik 3rd PAvlik 10-9 Clear round for PAvlik, rocked JT 4th Pavlik 10-9 Closer round but I thought he continued to press the action. 5th JT 10-9 Taylor landed more in that round 6th Pavlik 10-9 Pavlik went back to popping the jab and pressing the action PAvlik by 1 round.
You think JT won Rd. 1? Pavlik landed over 40 punches to 25 or so for Taylor, even Steward knows Kelly won that rd.
