For me its Wilder. AJ lost, he took it on the chin so to speak. Congratulated Andy, said fair play to him and that he would see him again soon. Showed incredible sportsmanship. Deontay showed he is full of **** and excuses. That to me alone is a write off. Also, Wilder's lose was worse then AJs

People expected Wilder to get outboxed. Maybe people didn't expect Fury to stop him mid rounds, but Tyson has stopped Chisora, Cunningham, and Hammer. Not too much of a shock.

The bodybuilder in my opinion has been exposed more. The gold medal boxing skills didn't help him in the first fight before he was stopped. His boxing skills are overrated.

The second fight like people have mentioned, he's fighting against a boxer in diabetes condition. It wasn't a 12 - 0 schooling. Ruiz had 2 or 3 rounds under his belt. Then there's the fact that Joshua in his best condition ever, fails to even drop fatso over 12 rounds, or at least make him back up. Pure jab and run. Ruiz was walking him down the very last 2 rounds. Joshua's punching power has been exposed!

Definitely Wilder. The sense of invincibility around AJ vanished, but I think the majority opinion was that he had an off night and would probably beat Ruiz with a different game plan.

With Wilder's loss, people seem to think that just about anyone in the top 10 could beat Wilder. I don't think that's the case at all.

But he didn't get outboxed. He got completely dismantled and dominated
That was years ago. The last person Fury knocked out was the tomato can he knocked over after the first fight with Wilder. Nobody thought he could knock out a non-can
How? He wasn't dismantled like Wilder. He was caught with a good shot that would have stopped anybody
    Cards say different
He wasn't trying to drop him.
Ruiz can't move, he has no tank and short little arms. The only real advantage he has is that he's great at putting powerful shots together at close range. Why give him that advantage by trading with him when you've got longer arms and can comfortably outjab him for 12 rounds?
Utter bull****. If Ruiz was walking him down he wouldn't have told him to come on in the final seconds
Yes, the guy who dropped the guy who's never been dropped has really had his punching power exposed

Still the hate and belittling of AJ even after he proved all the haters wrong and avenged his loss. Wilder has no plan b and no chance in a rematch with Fury!! Enjoy the last few months of Wilder protection league, aka bum squad!!

What makes this a tough question is that Joshua wasn't supposed to lose so soon.
Wilder should have lost so much sooner.

However in defeat, AJ was gracious and took his crow pie...quietly came back.
Whereas Wilder went wild on excuses & didn't just get out boxed, he got his ass whooped in the process.

Since AJ avenged by being what his fans expected of him and that is box, move, stick & clinch....IF a big IF Wilder comes back and managed to KO Fury, not sure even myself can see him holding the title for long.

AJ can win by boxing or a solid shot to end it. With Wilder he has only one way to win. Now for a great freak show? let Floyd go ahead and train him....

Majority consensus on this forum and elsewhere in the media immediately after AJ vs Ruiz I was that AJ vs Ruiz II would end much in the same way with many holding to the belief AJ was too slow, one dimensional and lacking the discipline to adapt his style in order to figure Ruiz out by the time of their rematch. Then a few weeks later when the Ruiz hype had begun to wear off a little, some in the pro-Ruiz crowd appeared to change their tune, with some slightly favouring Joshua whilst others were calling it a 50/50 fight. Yet nonetheless, these people were still largely among the minority from were I was sitting, with most still sincerely believing that AJ was in for an even worse beating than he received the first time he stepped in the ring with Ruiz.

I mention this first as even before AJ lost to Ruiz I had already observed that a large number of boxing fans (roughly half of the people I saw discussing the subject) were of the opinion AJ would lose to Wilder were they to fight, thus it came as no surprise to me when even more fans appeared to be in favour of Wilder beating AJ after AJ lost to Ruiz as Ruiz is a weaker puncher than Wilder who is arguably the strongest puncher in the division whilst AJ is often more open to being hit than Fury (emphasis on 'often', not necessarily always). I draw your attention to this discrepancy in power as this appeared to be the deciding factor in the minds of many who favoured Wilder over Fury in their rematch, with most summing up their prediction by saying something along the lines of 'Fury has to box perfectly for 12 rounds whilst Wilder has 12 rounds in which he only needs to land one perfect punch'. Therefore, as Wilder had already knocked Fury down once in their first fight (despite being schooled) whilst AJ had struggled with Ruiz, even being knocked down multiple times and stopped by him which exposed his chin, most fans seemed to agree that Wilder stood a better chance against Fury in their rematch than AJ stood against Ruiz in theirs (or so it seemed from my perspective anyway).

Gotta be AJ. Both of them got taken apart BADLY but AJ kicked it in Wilder was willing to go out on his sheild and had to be saved by his team and ref. Translation: Both talented and very flawed but Wilder is a fighter at heart and with his power and stamina he remains dangerous until its over.

AJ should really because he lost to Andy Ruiz Jr

Wilder lost to an elite fighter and that's the difference

The manner of defeat, and the subsequent response matters just as much as the opponent. Joshua made a mistake that he was then able to rectify. Wilder got comprehensively and thoroughly outclassed. How does he rectify that? How does a stubborn, deluded 34 year old overcome that?

I don't know. But I'll tell you exactly how he won't overcome it. By making a litany of embarrassing excuses and firing his only trainer worth a damn. Wilder is making it easy to write him off, because he's practically doing it for us. He'd rather desperately hang onto his ego than face the reality that he's not the best around.

And that's a recipe for another disaster. Fury KO5.

    Wilder still looks worse.
AJ lost because he was reckless and Wilder lost because he couldn't do anything at all.
AJ was also favourite in the rematch and he is able to change his style since he can box, but Wilder can't box and will lose again unless he rushes Fury and scores an early KO.
Wilder looks truly pathetic now since he performed worse against Fury then 45 ranked swedish taxi driver.

Dude, you really need to stop with the clear, concise, unbiased and intelligently put posts in this forum as they tend to confuse and bamboozle Wilder fanbois about as badly as them seeing Fury's glove go floppy.
