Terry Downes. They were born a month apart and were in the States at the same time. Dad always referred to Terry as "My contemporary". He was thrilled to bits when I got Downes' autograph at Dudley Town Hall in 1984.

Yep most definitely Joe was underrated imo , he had a solid career then went down under & earned himself a few bob as well .

My father's favorite fighter was fritzie Zivic- my father was born in 1925 in the same neighborhood as Zivic, and we are all of the same national descent.
My mother's favorite fighter was Armando Muniz- she started taking me to the fights at the Olympic Auditorium in the late 60s. As years went by she also liked Bobby Chacon.

Pacquiao. I just saw Arnel " the bomber" Barotillo . today at Eastwood, South Korea. Ooops! I mean Sydney, NSW.This dude fought Pacquiao in the 90's. I remember watching this guy with the old man back in late 90's. Geez time has flown by so fast. I can't believe it. Baratillo looks old and decrypted these days age has not been kind at all. Still sporting his Baratillo gym outfit and so on.

True.. Yeah, fo sure. He is a trainer. He trained Ebony Bridges at one stage and the RIFF winger Taylan May. For his boxing fight. Penrith won the GF but May was not in the line up. Had a hammy injury and so on. Parra got destroyed!! love it..

I met Downes at an LEBA meeting about 10 years ago, had a nice chat, told me that Webb not Tiger gave him his worst beating, also he had the smallest hands I have ever shaken ? FYI.
    Stay safe guys.
