Yes I agree with all your points. But the beauty of boxing is that mega fights are so unpredictable. Did you truly believe Duran would beat Leonard in their first bout? Did you truly believe Ray would beat Hagler at middle? Did you truly believe Marvin would knock Hearns out in 3? Floyd has one of the strongest minds I've ever seen, strong technical game and a wicked defense. Floyd has always found a way to win as an underdog (Hernandez/Corrales/ODLH to a degree) I think that's what makes mega bouts so special. You never know what's going to happen. Making claims that "Hearns would beat Floyd, Leonard would beat Hearns, Kid Galivan would beat Floyd, SRR would beat Floyd, Lamotta would beat Floyd, Judah with a tank would beat Floyd." It's so pointless and nonsensical. Head to head comparisons are as pointless as comparing their amateur record. You can compare their legacies sure but that's pretty much all you can do. Floyd has never fought an offensive machine like Hearns Hearns has never fought a defensive technician of Floyd's calibre Hearns with his flickers/immense punching power/(sorry to say this but a mediocre chin) vs Floyd Mayweather with his philly shell (Shoulder roll) defense, Undefeated, best hit/miss % in the history of the sport. 46%-16% Hearns 147 6'1 Mayweather 147 5'8 Seems like a pretty good fight to me. If I was a betting man, I would be stumped.
I prefer Benitez to all 4, but since we're excluding him I think I'll take Hagler, Duran in close second, with Hearns a fair way back and Leonard in last, although it's not like I dislike him or anything personal like that.
