Who was your favourite, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns and Duran?

Though it was a short fight, I still love and praise the way Hearns tried to slugg it out with Hagler. That was awesome.

 

I liked Leanord it seems to me that people are to embarressed to post him as their favorite..I can tell you this he had more fans than the other 3 combined

I liked all of them and each one was a household name but Ray was my choice.

Leonard was one of the greatest fighters of all time H2h.

God only knows why educated Boxing fans are embarrassed to embrace him.

 

Hearns and Haglar are interchangable at #3 on my list of all time favorites. I voted for Hearns in this poll because if I'm forced to choose, it has to be The Motor City cobra!

 

Hearns is one of my all time favorite boxers, along with Joe Louis. I'd put Hagler second followed by Duran. Leonard was a great fighter and I respect him, but if you like Tommy Hearns the way most Detroiters do, it's hard to like Ray.

 

I liked all of them. Leonard was my favorite back in the day but today it is a real hard pick. Tommy, Roberto and Marvin are probably better people than Leonard.

Duran for me, Leonard a close second (had mixed feelings @ the Big O when the two met for the 1st time), admired Hagler, somewhat hated Hearns who the **** knows why.

Then Duran went "no mas" and I lost a great deal of respect for him and Leonard became my favourite. After that I felt a big void and then came Sweet Pea...

Great boxers, great era.

 

Don't buy all that bull**** detractors come out with about Ray Leonard being an unpleasent person. He was just smarter than anybody else around at that time. Ultimately, he got in the ring and proved himself just like every other great fighter before and after him.
