It's an epic list, but Hagler is my all-time favourite boxer. Anyone who can destroy as many people as he did while looking like the lead singer of Hot Chocolate is a very special fellow indeed

These were all great fighters by any stretch.Hard to pick a clear favourite..but The Hitman pips Suagr Ray followed by Duran alongside Hagler.

The Hitman made me a boxing fan forever. When my uncle made me sit and watch him clock Cuevas cold...I knew this was my game.

    Long live The Fab Four!!

    Hagler
    Duran
    Hearns
    Leonard

Really don't like that Leonard got a nod over Hagler on paper, and that Hearns didn't win the rematch on paper. The whole flurry towards the end of the round, crowd going absolutely bonkers when he would make an attempt at a punch signifies nut huggery I cannot appreciate.

I like certain fights of Leonards, like his first fight against Hearns, and watching how great of a puncher he was in his fight against Floyd Mayweather Sr. But that stuff he pulled later on in his career takes away from him in my own book, and I'm only speaking for myself.

3 of the 4 were total bad asses. 1 was a badass when he wasn't trying to steal rounds with flash and celeb like popularity.

The Kalule-fight made me a SRL fan. Then comes Hagler and then Hearns. Duran was a little too primitive for me (although I can appreicate his heart).

Duran, primitive? Could you elaborate? I don't find much at all primitive about Roberto Duran.

    These four
    Leonard's record 4-1-1
    Hagler 2-1
    Hearns 1-2-1
    Duran 1-4
Duran has a good excuse for being 1-4 coming from lightweight champ (although I think he might've started out at 119.

Damn, skippy. Duran almost outboxed Hagler during his challenge for the middleweight crown.
