Kessler, Lacy, Reid and Mitchell were neither old or bums if you think otherwise you know nothing about boxing.

Hopkins best wins at middlewight are not superb as you might think.
Trinidad won 1 world title fight at middleweight.
DLH only won 1 world title fight at middleweight.
Joppy won lots of world title fights at the weight but mainly against average quality it must be said.
Johnson had never had a world title fight at the time.

Interestingly Calzaghe has a much higher caliber of opponent for best wins at his main career weight compared to Hopkins .
Calzaghe had Kessler and Lacy as stand out wins both with many world title wins at the weight, in Kesslers case both before and after losing to Calzaghe in Lacy's case he was ruined against Calzaghe, his corner should have chucked the towel in for the sake of their mans boxing career.
Mitchell won a few world title fights and had a couple of close away defeats in world title fights.
Reid won a few world title fights against average quality it must be said.

So it looks like Calzaghe's best super-middleweight wins were better than Bhops best middleweight wins ?

YEy but Hearns also blew out Shuler in 1, and I think Shuler probably would have beaten joppy, he also kod Roldan... I have no doubt that Hearns was the better middle.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but Calzaghe only beat bums and old men.
