    He really did that??:yikes

Well, at least there wouldn't have been any problems on how to dispose of any urine samples after the testers have finished with it.

The old timers training revolved around sparring and running and they were 100 percent right

The Merthyr Matchstick, Johnny Owen. He had few physical gifts other than what his hard work gave him.

    RIP.

I'll throw James Scott into the discussion -- of course in Rahway prison he didn't have as many outside temptations or distractions to deal with, but he did like 1,000 push-ups and 1,500 sit-ups a day, something like that.

How about Jeffries? You know, the guy who ran a marathon with a moose on his back.

Antuofermo was acknowledged as the best conditioned MW in the world during his reign, and this was before Hagler gassed late in their draw. Vito ran five miles a day even when not in training. In terms of being able to go at a fast pace for 12 rounds, this was something of a MW golden age. However, going into late rounds with Antuoferno at 160 usually meant the other guy was going to be gasping like a decked fish with his tongue hanging out. Vito had beer kegs for lungs.

Training wise, few could out do Bomber Bruno. You can (rightly) argue that the muscle upon muscle look probably cost him in the stamina department, but there can be no doubting his dedication he was ALWAYS in great shape for fights.
