Bryd should be rated higher for me based on wins over Vitali and Tua they stand up to anyone else's big wins.
Then he has some other solid opponents like Oquando, Williamson, McCline, past prime Evander.

    I'd go Fury, Pov, Bryd

It is Joshua, Povetkin and Byrd for me. Wladimir came up good in all three (was in different stages of his career in each fight) and his opponents were all capable, fiery and in their prime years. Fury was a great opponent, but the fight was a boring sloppy snooze fest. Wlad himself was poor in that fight, even considering that he was post-prime. Haye and Peter are two slightly overrated opponents. Chagaev on the other hand, tends to get underrated a bit and is not even mentioned in this poll.

I would say Fury, Povetkin, and Haye (or Joshua). However in terms of difficulty of matchup for Wlad I would swap out Povetkin and Haye for Sanders and possibly Peter.

Haye is not better than Byrd, nor does he have a better resume. Why are people picking Haye over Byrd ? It makes no sense to me

The men same size or bigger than Fury would get their heads boxed off by him. Easily. They have nothing to offer. Sitting heavy bags. Zhang is interesting early doors but mid rounds onwards becomes a big lump awaiting a heart attack.

Tbh, it is very difficult to watch the sanders vs wlad fight and not to think that wladimir is overrated as ****. Yes, I know he isnt, but it is very difficult not to think so after watching that fight.

It's likely because Haye's a much bigger puncher than Byrd, Haye did better against Wlad (Haye wasn't punched to the floor, buzzed Wlad in the 12th, arguably won two or three rounds) and the Haye fight was Wlad's signature win, with tons of hype and close odds.

Byrd also doesn't usually get full credit for his wins over Vitali (quitjob, claimed injury) and Holyfield (40+, claimed injury, TKO'd by a middleweight in his next fight).

If Byrd had retired after his win over Holyfield he'd be in the HoF. If he'd picked up belts at LHW and CW prior to his run at HW, he'd be regarded as a P4P ATG. Perhaps Haye gets additional credit for being a CW and HW titlist, given there are only two others.

    There's a strong consensus top 3:

    1. Fury (79.6%)
    2. Povetkin (72.4%)
    3. Joshua (57.1%)

Joshua got over twice as many votes as 4th place Haye (25.5%).

It's very arguable that Wlad is 4-4 (0 KO's) against his best eight opponents.

You clearly made this thread just to try to hate/troll on Wlad.

Funny how you haven't pointed out those two losses to Fury and Joshua came when he was old at about 40/41, past prime and right at the end of his career.

Almost all great fighters have losses in their final fights.

I have mentioned age in the thread but it goes both ways. Wlad was 22, 26 and 28 when he lost to Puritty, an aging Sanders and Brewster. No one was talking about Wlad's age before those fights. Likewise, age wasn't seen as a problem when 1/4 favourite Wlad fought Fury. And Joshua had never been beyond the 7th round (against an even more green Whyte) when he stepped up vs Wlad.

"Almost all great fighters have losses in their final fights."

As do almost all non-great fighters.

"You clearly made this thread just to try to hate/troll on Wlad."

I was curious as to how the forum ranks Wlad's opponents in terms of ability. It's not my fault that Wlad is 4-4 with 0 KO's against his eight best opponents by consensus.

The problem with these questions Is that when you have dominant champions like Wladimir and Vitali combined cleaning out a division together, you don't have other fighters become world champions to become more highly rated.
    For example
If I was to think Wladimirs best opponents I would likely instantly think of Fury and Joshua but they didn't face Wladimir until late in his career.
If say they both challenged Wladimir when prime and he beat them both, they would possibly not become world champions and not be viewed any higher than some of the other opponents
Of course that is all hindsight

    I guess
Fury/Joshua as arguably the best though see above
The third I could make several arguments but I think Haye
