Who were you sad at seeing lose the most: Martinez, Gamboa, or Donaire?

serg did NOT take their power, he was hurt badly by both as soon as they starting landing even glancing blows

how exactly were his knees "shot" ? he had acl reconstructive surgery, the same surgery MANY atheletes now recover from in 6 months.

he was HURT, concussed. can you really not grasp and injured leg against one being hurt from head shots ? get a phukin clue

neither could serg beat ANY top 5 mw currently, **** he couldn't years ago. I don't even know if he bet murray

I had a feeling that they would all lose, although I emphatically stated that Gamboa would win.

Martinez is finished. Unfortunately, he had a serious of injuries that could take a life time to recover from.

Gamboa and Donaire are both physically capable of having great careers, but they need new trainers that can teach them how to use aggressive defense in Gamboa's case, and teach Donaire how to box off the back foot and counter effectively.

I just don't know if they can mentally prepare themselves for this.

Couple of points. You obviously have no experience of ACL reconstructive surgery to dismiss it so readily.

Secondly, Martinez took several clean power shots to the jaw off Chavez Jr in the last round for the knock down - the only time he was hurt in the entire fight. Hardly glancing blows.

And yet he beat both by wide margins, leaving one of their faces looking like a used panty-liner.

    Many, but not all.

Not too many who had a cycling and soccer career befor he ever laced up at 20.

He needed his knees for offence AND defence. He needed them for leverage (offence) and to get out of the way (defence).

They weren't there for him from the very first round. He got knocked on his ass because he couldn't use the athleticism he had prior to the surgery.

Do you ever do any thinkin' ?

Does it make your head hurt ?

Are you concussed right now ?

And if he had been concussed (fukcin' laughable), how the hell would he have lasted another 9 rounds ?

Do you ever do any thinkin' ?

Does it make your head hurt ?

He did beat a current top five and would have little trouble with any of the current crop when he was prime (with the exception of GGG).

He was the man at MW and ranked #3 pound for pound behind Floyd and Manny, by smarter boxing gurus than you.

    Martinez .

the man gave boxing his all and was great . But he just didn't have it anymore and Cotto took advantage of that and did what he had to do .

    Martinez.

Sad to see such a good athlete succomb to multiple injuries and age.

Got to give him credit for taking a top fighter instead of a tune up after a long lay-off.

He's like RRJ, used reflexes to win, now that they're gone he isn't what he was.
