I have seen Don King listed as 6' 3" a brief search shows a consensus of 6'2", no way was he 6' 5".
More importantly, many were corrupt, but no, not nearly all of them.

And psychopath Don King was the worst.

Jack Kearns. He literally considered his fighters money his, at least with Dempsey and Walker.

Boxing is a known racket, and the biggest losers were fighters. Tell me, who was honest? I doubt very much that question can be answered, honestly.

You will not hear a word against the Hearns from anyone who has worked with them.

Mickey Duff ripped off a Fighter I know for what was then a life changing amount of money. Virtually all of the big names Jack Solomons promoted wound up skint. There are some horrific stories about him.
Paddy and Tommy Lynch never took a cut of a Boxer's purse. Fabulous guys both.

Mike Jacobs controlled every fight in NY, picking the opponents against his house Champions, and paying them whatever he wanted too.
He controlled Louis, Armstrong, Ambers, and selected fighters of his choice, making sure that his champions stayed champions. I only mention these three, you can add on 100 more in every division from 1933 to when dropped dead, made millions. That includes NYSAC, judges, referees, Newspaper sportswriters. He had it all rapped up. He avoided any dangers fighters that can beat his champions.
