If it's Price, the undercard needs to be huge for this not to bomb on PPV. It's laughable that there's even talk of it being PPV. Chisora v Whyte would be a good start, but it needs another big one to draw interest. People will simply lose interest in AJ knocking over these bums.

    2 predictions

    1. AJs choice of an opponent will be poor, but it wont be Price, it will be some unknown Eurobum with a ranking.
    2. The PPV will bomb.

Hearn wants to milk his cow without taking any risks.

However, Hearn needs to learn that people will switch off unless he takes some risks.

Correct. It doesn't happen overnight but overtime you start to alienate the audience.

If I was matchroom and Sky I would have the Dec 10th fight on Sky Sports as there is no one out there who he can fight who will make it a worthwhile fight. Give a freebie away and it will do more good than having a 1 round blowout on PPV.

It's a shame Parker is going down the WBO route as that was a fight they could of built towards for a PPV early next year.

Who here wants to pay £19.95 to watch AJ steamroller a Eurobum inside 3 rounds?

Not even hardcore fans like us are going to be paying for this trash

AJ v Parker is a PPV fight but Parker is simply not known at all in UK yet outside of absolute hardcore fans. They've shown his last few fights live on Sky Sports but with the time difference they are on at like 11am, so hardly anyone will have watched them. But it'll be a unification fight by then so it's sensible to build it, this will be a very good fight to make.

    Speaking of Eurobums .....

Christian Hammer beat Erkan Teper recently.
Maybe they will bring Hammer in.
Hammer's the guy Tyson Fury needed nandrolone to beat. AJ might even come off the juice for this one to prove a point.

Yeah plus there is enough decent footage of Parker as well as him been undefeated which one could you use to market that fight.

    It would do good business.

i'd rather see a rematch with whyte than a fight with price, who's done nothing to deserve a world title fight. Pulev is ranked no 3, and with parker probably dropping out of the rankings by fighting for the vacent wbo title i'd guess he'd be the fight as a mandatory. He'll be cheap too.

There is that issue. I do think fighters are in no rush to fight Joshua or want silly money.

Unfortunately the HW division just doesn't have enough top ranked challengers.

I don't think this can be on Sky Sports because of a PPV clause in Joshua's contract.

Two weeks out from Christmas a fight with Price would likely bomb, although the break even point for a Joshua PPV and poor undercard would be miniscule.

Agree that if it's Price then the undercard will be big and needs a Chisora vs Whyte fight to sell it. Neither AJ nor Price could sell water to a dehydrated man in the desert never mind PPV. At least Chisora and Whyte will sell this fight and they need to because the editor of "The Gloves are Off" with AJ and Price will need to be a creative genius.

The Box Office format including 'Gloves are Off' is stale, jaded and really brings nothing to people deciding whether to buy.

Even the mugs who bought the previous 2 Joshua PPVs must have cracked on that they have been conned into buying a 50/50 fight where the opponent had a zero chance of winning.

The proof is in the pudding come fight night and the puddings have been rotten to the core.
