"You're forgetting that in sparring Price left AJ twitching on the floor with 20oz gloves ...this is a genuine 50/50 fight and he's a far more dangerous opponent than Wlad, Parker or Pulev" Eddie Hearn, next week.

Spot on mate - sold as though Tiger Tony never happened twice or Teper.

This is right up there with Hector Avilla and Gary Cornish

I'm a kiwi and down here a few months ago Price was being lined up as an opponent for Parker on the undercard of Joshua's December fight.

Price was sold to us kiwis as solely a means of introducing Parker to the British market. This would make him more marketable for the mandatory IBF fight against a Joshua next year.

He was basically sold to us as a patsy and a big lump of a lad, who would assist Parkers grooming in fighting taller fighters.

Obviously Parker now has a better offer.
I have never seen Price fight. Was he being set up for a fall?

When Price is set up for a fall...it's called a jab.

He comes in with zero stamina, a leaning back stance, has a feather jab and a single glazing chin mate.

Apart from those minor flaws he is destined, like the all time great Fraudley Harrison, to be the next big thing in World Heavyweight Boxing.

Price is very similar to audley, good amateur but as a pro freezes when attacked by a live opponent and glass jaw.
He was at one point hayes number 1 sparring partner so maybe those big shots he took in sparring have taken there toll?
I'd rather we saw AJ in with Duhaupas, pulev or Ustinov next, a solid European fighter is a good test for him next. I'm a bit bored of seeing him beat up American contenders. Parker or haye should be in the new year.
Also price and Haye haven't exactly beaten anyone recently of note to warrant a shot at AJ, price should aim to fight the whyte/chisora winner and Haye well I think Ustinov is made for him and would give him rounds but he is probably happy to fight another bum before he gets a shot at Parker/Ruiz for the wbo

sparring is sparring and fighting is fighting. i don't particularly care much for joshua or rate him highly but he would find priceys chin and he would put him on the floor

It's a joke of a fight. The lights of the big stage are like Kryptonite to Price and if he hears the bell at the end of the 1st he can call it a moral victory. Shame on Eddie if this one happens as he will need a serious undercard.

Hearn has already said if it's Price the undercard will be stacked. If Wlad then a light undercard.

It's looking more & more likely that it's going to be Price. No doubt it will sell to casuals but I'm very underwhelmed by this fight.
