Wlad, Povetkin and Stiverne have scheduled fights for December. All of them have fought last time in November 2015. How does year-long inactivity affect them? Wlad is 40, Povetkin is 37 and Stiverne turns 38 soon
I'd say Stiverne. Wlad maybe older but he's always been in shape and has been through 2 camps, while Stiverne obviously blows up in weight and trains minimally between fights. Stiverne will likely not be in great shape and be rusty as hell.
I think so, too. Stiverne doesn't like to train between the camps. He's a bit lazy even for today's HWs, maybe not as lazy as Arreola but still...
Wlad's the oldest and he was right on the cusp of losing it. His last two or three fights have been real lackluster affairs, especially that last fiasco. He may show up to fight Joshua a ghost of his former self. He's the oldest of the three, facing the biggest threat, not just of the three, maybe of his entire career. He's rounding the horn of 40 and that's nobodies childhood. He might just look like Larry Holmes in the fight against Mike Tyson.
Wlad, because years count double at his age now. Povetkin had his camps set up, with sparring and all... so no too much rust I think Stiverne is a Don King fighter, so he doesn't even know better.
