What will Eddie Hearn do for AJ? Who's he gonna pick for AJ?

Will Eddie thrown him to the wolves? give him another rather safe tune-up? Build him up slowly?

Previously I would have to say Stiverne but apparently Team Fury approached Pulev for a fight with Hughie Fury but was told Pulev's team was already in negotiations for a bigger fight, so it could be Joshua vs Pulev not a bad opponent before Joshua's mando vs Parker.

I thought it was Stiverne,it's the modern way to take no 50/50 fights until one has to or well established like Frampton or Thurman?

Well he's fighting next in Nov/Dec

That rules out Wilder who's on the shelf
Also rules out David Haye because that's a stadium fight and it will be too cold

He's the IBF champion so must fight somebody coming off a win.

That rules out Arreola and Jennings.

He also must fight someone in the top 15 of the IBF

So that rules out Briggs and Browne

Which leaves either Pulev, Stiverne or Parker

I sense Showtime want to build toward a Wilder-Joshua fight next year, so I would guess the most likely candidate is Stiverne, then Parker early next year. Pulev will prbably have to wait to become a mandatory.

IBF champ must fight a top 15 guy and somebody not coming off a loss. Rules him out on both counts

Not going to be demanded until December so as long as Joshua fights before then, it doesn't have to be.

    stiverne would be easier
    joshua will beat pulev IMO
but pulevs new style of jab and hold might make it ugly
joshua would have to keep it long and clean or it will be a hug fest especially if pulev gets rocked early

still a test but pulevs fights are not pleasing to the eye post wlad
he was good to watch in earlier fights / wlad fight obviously made him more cautious.

if i was picking i would go with dulhaupus or carlos takam
joshua needs to go 12 rounds before he is in a 50/50 fight amd the 2 frenchmen are durable trialhorse level top 20 fighters.

Can't fight someone coming off a loss so it won't be Takam.

Eddie Hearn has already said that the only 3 currently in the frame are Stiverne, Pulev and Parker.

Looks like the poll has got it right.

Stiverne mostly likely, Pulev second most likely.

It should be from the IBF top 15, and everyone else is tied up or coming off a loss. Well, except Hughie, but no way Team Fury would agree to that.

Stiverne is the weaker of the two, so he makes more sense over Pulev. Plus, Joshua has the chance to KO Stiverne, something Wilder failed to do, and that's a good opportunity. (And it will probably happen. Wilder probably only failed to do so because he broke his hand early).

Stiverne should still be a step up for Joshua, but it's hard to tell his current state. Stiverne hasn't looked good lately.
