As much as I would like Vergil Ortiz to be the face of boxing I don't see it happening. He lacks the charisma, and the personality to draw casual fans to the sport.

I think Gervonta Davis has a good chance at attracting the casual fan, but I feel he will eventually implode and self destruct.

Anthony Joshua doesn't really appeal to Americans, I think he missed the boat with the Wilder fight.

IMO it will be Ryan Garcia, which if he continues to improve and continues having exciting fights he could easily be the face of boxing.

Who do you think will be the next face of boxing?

Ryan Garcia COULD be the second-coming of Oscar de la Hoya (real chip off the ole' block), but he needs to beat Luke Campbell...which I think he will.

Tank Davis is loud enough to get noticed, good enough to pass an eye test, and heavy-handed enough to get out of danger. So long as he has a good handler he can last a bit.

Meh. A loss or two wont mean **** all if he can actually beat top tier opponents in big fights.
Being undefeated is beyond overrated. It has little to do with a boxer´s talent, achievements and popularity.

The losses started piling up, as did PPV sales.

True. As long as he can deliver exciting fights and can claim May 5th weekend and Sept. 16 weekend he should be able to draw tons of buys, even with losses.

Yes, but we're in an era where very many fans overvalue an undefeated record thanks to Floyd. But Ryan is the only one who has the baked in female fan base, so maybe that will help if he takes an L.

Loma excited some casuals, but he's still far away from superstar status.

Teo, maybe Ryan Garcia. Teos already carving out a legacy for himself. Ryan has yet to prove himself with his chin in the air delivering bunches of punches. It's like Teo is bonafide on the block, while Garcia is the young kid stepping up to hustle lol.

Maybe that Filipino kid "gestas" if he can capitalize on delivering Manny's fanbase into his own... Already has a big fight in the works, Rigo? I can't remember, he has the balls and the pride to run with the baton after Manny is done with it.

I cant call it. The upcoming fighters with genuine star potential simply arent good enough fighters imo.

Out of the current established fighters, I think AJ could reach the top, outside of Canelo, regardless of the US market. If he gets the Fury and Wilder fights, and wins them, he'd sit atop the sport, imo.
