The Cripple Crusher has fought so many cripples and invalids throughout his career he's actually developed a sixth sense for identifying which fighters are more susceptible to suffer injury, in particular debilitating knee/leg injuries.

'Cotto-Heiland Deal Close, But Requires Canelo Too

A deal is apparently very close for a fight between WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) and Argentina's Jorge Sebastian Heiland (25-4-2, 13KOs), who is rated number one under the WBC and coming off a November knockout victory over Matthew Macklin. The deal is easy to make because both fighters are advised by Gaby Penagaricano. Cotto's return is targeted for June 6th in New York City.

El Vocero reports that in order for HBO to pay a license fee for Cotto-Heiland, there has to be a preliminary agreement in place for Cotto to face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in the fall. Canelo is back on May 9th against James Kirkland. There were negotiations to face Cotto earlier this year but they couldn't reach an agreement on the financial terms.'

Another Cotto/Canelo rematch is so predictable that the thought of it alone induces boredom. Cotto knows he can't press the issue on the inside for fear of getting knocked out. Canelo knows that Cotto knows and will win by calmly outpointing Cotto and forcing him to keep the distance. No drama whatsoever.

Presumably Heiland's leg will have healed by the time of that match. Of course his providing us with another gratuitous display of his kamakaze bravado isn't totally out of the question since being injured didn't prevent Heilland from temporarily divesting himself of his crutches, gritting his Argentinian teef and fighting anyways.

So a repetition of the hobble-and-punch scenario isn't that far-fetched.-especially since muchos pesos are once more involved.

No that was from back in 2015 ie. the year after the Gammy Knee Assassin became a 2 weight Cripple Crusher champion after relieving professor Sergio Hawkins of his WBC MW crown.

Is that when he injured his leg? Two years ago? I was under the impression that he recently fought with a serious leg injury against Jermail Charlo and lost on TKO in the fourth round on July 29th of 2017.

Isn't that Sebastian lying on his back on the canvass?

He was carrying a leg injury going into the fight (torn ligaments apparently and he also had some nerve damage in one of his arms or so I read on another forum the other day) and he might have further aggravated it even more during the fight.

That's Dejan Zlaticanin lying on the canvas after getting sparked by Mikey Garcia.

Sorry but that fighter on the canvas is not identified as Dejan and the other one as Garcia.

    Here they are again:

My bad I was referring to the video you posted in your previous post, not the top one in this one.

    Edit: Yes the bottom one

True, the previous one announces one thing and shows another. Then when I tried playback it didn't play. But that is obviously not Charlo in the foreground. Didn't notice that. Wonder why they posted it that way? Practical joke?
