    Parker has no power.

Couldn’t hurt that Romanian plumber, got a lucky decision against Fury and Ruiz, close fight with Takam 7-5. Takam couldn’t take a round off AJ.

He’s not a big puncher Parker. And there’s absolutely nothing to suggest he has a solid chin. I think it’s going to be a short nights work.

Parker has a punch, he will be in shape to go 12 hard rounds, if his chin is as good as reports say, he has a chance................but Joshua will own the referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., so it will be an up hill battle..........

Does parker have enough power to keep Joshua honest? I'm not sure he does. Although he's a pretty accurate puncher and Joshua will need to be wary of his uppercut. Will Parker be able to handle Joshua's power? If he can, and it goes to the later rounds it could get interesting.

Parker has pretty fast hands and can put his punches together well and seems to have a sound chin.
I don't think he has as much power as his record suggests.
It could be interesting if he can take Joshua into the last few rounds because if Joshua does gas then Parker won't need as much power to take him out.
Having said that regarding Joshua gassing out people seem to forget he got a second wind and came back to stop Klitschko.

AJ will do the chasing. Parker doesn't have the inside skills or power to stand and trade with Joshua for long. If Takam and Ruiz Jr can force him onto the back foot I expect Joshua to be able to do the same.

Though I don't think Parker plans to take the fight to Joshua, at leas not early on. He'll use movement to try and take the fight into the later rounds and try to control the pace of the fight.

After a couple of feel out rounds where they battle for centre ring Joshua will be the one coming forward, Parker will be the one backing up. Joshua wont exactly have to chase the NewZealander around the ring though, Parker aint no runner. The majority of things team Parker think they have over Joshua they are wrong about and will soon find it out when the fight starts and what we will end up with is Parker back tracking, losing round after round while looking to land a bomb to completely change the tide of the fight. But the later the fight goes and the more Parker decides to try land one of these bombs the more he is playing into Joshuas hands who likes to catch them coming in.

They say they have this plan for Joshua but Parker hasnt got faster hands than AJ, Parker has never forced a fast pace and shown a high level of workrate and ive seen him gas out more than once and just as many times as Joshua. Ive never seen him knocked down he wont be the 1st to have that claim then end up finding themselves face down on the aprin.

Cojanu shelled up a lot of the time because he could read Parker, which isn't hard to do as his combinations are so predictable.

Joshua is more likely to get caught with a shot he doesn't see coming than Cojanu. Joshua doesn't shell up like Cojanu he likes to trade, he catches shots on shoulder and gloves and then fires back with short hooks and uppercuts. We saw that when he fought Takam, the first knockdown being a prime example.

So I wouldn't totally dismiss Parker's chances of stunning Joshua with a shot he doesn't see, like when he walked into a left hook vs Whyte. In regards to power I think Parker hits as hard as Whyte and Whyte hurt Joshua, didn't put him down but did hurt him.

he did and and he showed the heart of a warrior that night. but it also took him 3 or 4 rounds to get that second wind back, which still worries me a bit. for example, Wilder may be crude and may not have the best aesthetically looking style, but I couldn't imagine him letting AJ out of trouble in that amount of time

Parker will be in retreat mode no doubt. And the bodybuilder will chase him down until poor Joseph has nowhere to go. I hope Anthony's referee don't stop it too soon.

Am not a fan of either but I actually think Joshua will finish this in under 5 rounds, big statement whichever way you look at it.

I expect AJ to be the forward mover and Parker to be more or less phoneboothing it.

Everyone knows AJ's biggest issue is his posture. You know it as the criticism stiff. I don't understand why it's so difficult for youse to imagine a way for Parker to take advantage of this. He doesn't need to move a lot to win all he needs to do is sit in the pocket and beat AJ with sharper shots.

I don't give a **** what fairy semantics but him beat dis guy doe bull**** you have in yer pocket waiting for a poster like me. Unless you have a way to square the stiff criticism with pure punch structure or absolve the stiff criticism you're not even trying to make a point you're just being a pansy because I made one so save it.

Parker only needs bait activity out of Joshua and study the exact posture he takes while punching. That is it, it's not complex and it doesn't have to be complex because Joshua suffers from a fundamental flaw. Baiting the activity out of AJ is his risk but it's also his easiest path to victory and JP has already made chin part of the convo. I don't expect him to want to be touched but I damn sure don't expect him to give up offensive position for defense unless he gets in there and find AJ carries too much power for him.

That said neither guy can pivot worth a ****. If it does come down to movement it'll be really interesting but right now I feel this fight is about power, constitution, and patience on both sides.

Parker needs to get off first. Its the beginning of the end against Joshua if you let him chase you. How many opponents have went on the back foot and had success. Not one. They all got taking out.

The only real success we,ve seen against Joshua was on the front foot. Both whyte and klitchko got their success from it. To beat Joshua you,be got to force him on to the back foot. Appears a massive risk...but is actually the safest position to be in against him. Joshua' not really a counter puncher. He puts his punches together pretty well when hes got you on the back foot. But his infighting skills when the opponents coming at him aren,t that good. Its a mental game against him because hes huge. Massive arms the last thing that looks a good idea is going toe to toe. But you,ve got to move into him. It actually negates his strengths. That first round will tell you all you need to know about the fight. Parker can't hold off. Got to try and put him on the back foot. Get him into a fight. Joshua needs room to work the more distance between the two of you...the better he likes it especially a short armed fighter like parker. Parker closes the distance pretty well mostly. The only one with the right game plan so far was whyte. It is dangerous...but its still safer than going on the back foot and a lot more chance of winning.
