Well, It's a tough pick this year:

Antonio Margarito had a great year with a very good win against Cintron and an excellent win against Cotto.

If Nate Campbell beats Guzman today his year will be even better, in my opinion, with two excellent wins over unbeaten champions.

But for me, If Christian Mijares beats Vic Darchinyan, he should be named fighter of the year. He is the most active champion in the sport (4 fights this year), he unifies his division and ducks no one. I hope they give it to him, but since he isn't a household name yet, sadly it won't happen.

Christian Mijares like you said, based on activity and for unifying his division. As well as being a P4P fighter

    Got to be Margarito

    Destroyed Cintron :deal

    Broke Cotto :deal

But for the stupid alphabet rules he would be unified champ

Yeah, but since he already killed Cintron before, it's not that great of a win. He was always going to have a psychological edge in that fight.
The Cotto win was incredible, I agree.

As for Pacman, In my opinion he shouldn't be considered even if he beats Oscar, since his fight against Marquez was very disputable.

Sure, The Cintron win is even very good, but not great. If Nate beats Guzman, it's a better win and he will have the best two fights record this year.
