Nate Campbell ... he beat an undefeated 3-time world champion in Juan Diaz and if and when he beats Guzman then it will be 2 wins over two undefeated fighters. I'll have Margarito a close second ... he could fight again this year but I doubt that he gets the nod because he passed up on later on this year ... add to that I don't like the fact that he didn't fight Paul Williams for a shot at redemption. oh and if Manny Pacquiao can beat DLH then he gets the nod in my book over anyone ... a win over a top p4p fighter in Marquez, a win over lightweight champ David Diaz, and a possible win over DLH ... **** thats an unbelieveable run especially considering that he fought as low as 130 at the start this year and went as high as 147 in Dec.
Roy, after he smashes Joe. Margo, is the front runner, but he was given a chance to beat both of his opponents. Roy's win will be over the #1 or #2 p4p boxer.
Nate if he beats Guzman. He won't though. Close between Mijares and Margarito. I think it will probably go to Margo.
If Pac beats Hoya, Pac will definately take home the honors. If Pac loses and Mijares wins, Mijares will take it. If both lose, Margarito will take it.
Right now it's Margarito but if Manny Pacquiao wins against DLH then I'm picking him for sure. Win over Marquez, a top P4P fighter. Win over Diaz in his first fight at 135 with the WBC title on the line. Win over DLH TWO WEIGHTS above at 147.
I said it before, I didn't put Paqquiao on the list because many people feel he lost the Marquez fight. And Marquez and Oscar are great fighters, but both past their primes. If Paqquiao would have beaten both Marquez and Oscar clearly he would have deserved consideration but the first part didn't happen (and the second part won't happen).
