    #1 Donaire
    #2 Ward
    #3 Gamboa
    #4 Alvarez

The difference between Donaire and Ward is that Donaire is a puncher and a KO artist, Ward isnt. Though they may rack up the same caliber wins, Donaire still wins with a better KO ratio vs comparable competition. Its one thing to win, but to KO is to soundly dominate. Thus rewarded point-wise according to BoxRec

    Seconded.

If not him, then surely Ward or Donaire.

It'd be an amazing feat if Hopkins went on to beat Dawson, Bute, Ward, and maybe picked up a cruiserweight title to be rated at the top at the age of 49. Chances are that doesn't happen. His reflexes have eroded considerably over the past few years.
