Who will be remembered as the greater fighter: Pacquiao or Marquez

He only won one fight of the four and that was after Pacquiao was ruined by Marquez, Morales, Cotto and Margarito wars.

If Marquez is the pappy of Pac than Frazier is Ali's pappy who bobbed, weaved, got inside and delivered a pretty out and out ass kicking to Ali. We're talking about flush left hook after flush left hook. Amazing Ali could even finish the fight.

Ali finished the fight on his feet though. Unlike Pac who needed two pounds of smelling salts and an Indian shaman to bring him back from the dead. Marquez is Pac's pappy if he only had ktfo 6, the knockout of the millennium.

 

obviously pac. marquez was just the hardest tree for him to cut down, and it finally fell on him.

 

Doesn't make Larry Holmes pappy of Ali? I mean we haven't even gotten into Ken Norton yet. I don't get this whole Marquez pappy thing about Pac. You realize that Pacquiao is so much greater than Marquez right? He sits barely outside the top 10 ATG by historians like Bert Sugar, Max Kellerman, Manny Steward. 8 division titles.

 

This thread is about Pac and Marquez and not Ali. Pac sits way outside of the top 10 atg and is only considered close to this ranking by some of his delusional fan base. Mayweather ranks highter than Pac imo and Mayweather is maybe in top twenty five.

 

I was using Ali as an example to illustrate the double standard given to Pacquiao. If winning the Flyweight and Welterweight titles were so easy then why has nobody else came close to doing it?

 

Despite losing by an emphatic knockout in the last bout of their series, it's Pac.

 

All credit to Pac for moving up so many weight divisions and being relevant in those weight divisions but let's not pretend that he beat the best fighters in those weight divisions. Pac has had a well managed career at the higher weights.

Since when was Sasakul not the best Flyweight in the world. That's the same man who beat Yuri Arbachakov who was one of the greatest fighters of the 1990s. What about Barrera, Morales and Marquez. Those were great fighters. How about Hatton, Cotto and Margarito. Not a bum in that group, that's for sure.

 

Weren't Hatton, Cotto and Margarito coming off of recent beatings?
