I don't find it that simple though. I watched a boxing match where a guy with the name Juan Manuel Marquez beat his opponent. Just because some other guy was watching a different fight means I have to agree with them. I had Marquez winning both fights, and therefore, in my opinion at least, Pac isn't even comparable to Marquez let alone Roy Jones Jr.

Oh for **** sake. Did you see the cut that Marquez had? It was enormous. He didn't give a **** and ***** about it. Cuts happen, that's boxing, they are not excuses. Morales tapped that ass all night, PAST his best. He went on to get KO'd twice, I honestly don't think he gives a ****, he knows he was done, it was his last hurrah. Besides, he had already been embarrassed by RAHEEM... it was really difficult to beat Morales at that stage, ey?

And no, Pac never KO'd Marquez. He knocked him down, ONCE in the second fight. Even if that extra point for the rope-holding "[cough] knockdown [cough]" was given, I still had Marquez winning. Most people agree with me, most sportswriters agree with me. And I don't even like Marquez! I was trying to give the close rounds to Pac, but I couldn't! I just feel terrible for Marquez, getting so many bad decisions. That's the price he pays for his very effective style, that doesn't seem to please the judges.

And what's this "WE got the belt already". You don't have ****. You're a nobody, who sits at home on your ass talking **** about every fighter except Pacquiao. PAC has the belt - though he doesn't deserve it - not you, not domingo, not PacDBest. And regardless, the belt means nothing. So you've been telling everyone for years, because Pac hasn't had a belt and you keep preaching about how they mean nothing. Funny about that, how quickly you change your tune. Regardless, enjoy your hero's tainted belt. :rofl

And no, Marquez isn't my hero, so I don't need to move on. I much prefer Pacquiao to Marquez, every day of the week. I just think decisions like this are a disgrace, and they usually make me a fan. I didn't really like Oscar until he got robbed vs. Trinidad.

    Bye bye little girl! :hi:

my bad. good for you. you already mentioned to me your academics before and i can picture you. i didnt mean to say that, but it seems you are more biased against pac when it comes to greatness. it is just a heated exchange of ideas.

i dont necessarily agree with you on your 2nd paragraph. although fighters below 140 are well represented on paper, realistically they are not. sympathy and greatness especially with arguing whose better tends to point at the heavies.

and the 3rd one paragraph. i'll shut my keyboard.

I have to agree here. I had JMM winning their last fight. Jones was consistent for 15 years, dominating opponents, showing fight fans some of the greatest kd/kos ever seen. Manny has not been consistent throughout the years. Losing 3 times (officially) drawing once and winning a controversial decision against JMM. No comparison atm

We're good Johnco....these posts are why I said you're not as bad as people think you are. You just like to mess with people. (Though I legitimately believe you don't watch fights without Pacquiao in them)

And fighters aren't show on TV as much as they should be below 140 anymore. But they are remembered in hindsight. We are talking about history here in regards to Pacquiao and Jones. If he were to clear out the 135 champion, he would jump over a ton of fighters.

Look at it from Marquez point of view. He dominated the first fight bar the first 2 rounds and didn't win the fight. I thought he clearly won the second fight if only by 2 points, but I knew what I saw, and he got a bad decision. The guy arguably beat Chris John and wasn't given the decision. The man has every single right to complain about the decision! Other way round, Pacman would have.

i respect you bro on the first part of your paragraph. everyone has it say. but i dont think you are correct on the last one. pac will be always ahead of jmm not only head to head matchup but accomplishment. pac is nowhere roy. there will be 3rd fight.

Course there isn't a comparison. I won't ever claim to know a lot about this sport, but just lately this entire forum has been losing every inch of credibility it once had. Threads pitting Haye vs Ali, with people actually voting for Haye. Not to mention now we have comparisons between Leonard and Pac and now Roy Jones and Pac. It's ridiclious.

All pacman has done has beat a not prime Barrera, lost to a passed his prime Morales and beat a past his prime Morales and won a controversial decision against Juan Manuel Marquez, a decision that I and the majority seem to think he didn't deserve. We're comparing that to a man who dominated anybody he faced for years and took out the likes of Hopkins and Toney, and moving up to heavyweight to win a title. Unbelievable.

Close the thread before this gets to embarassing.

but because I had Marquez beating Pac on both occasions he would be more than comparable h2h in fact, he would obviously have the beating of Pac in my eyes. In accomplishments, Pac's would be dwarfed if he lost twice to a fighter who beat Barrera himself.

your opinion will always be respected. pac did more than jmm when it comes to resume. if jmm beats pac, he will be ahead of pac but it is very doubtful that he'll overtake pac's when it comes to accomplishments. jmm needs more besides pac.

self kill. there will be 3rd fight. trust me.
