If their career's ended now, Pacquiao would be a bigger topic of discussion 50 years from now with his 8 weight division accomplishments and wars with Barrera, Morales and Marquez, however Mayweather may overtake him of he beats Marcaino undefeated record and wins a title a middleweight

Why would they both not be remembered? Strange question, and some strange answers.

I think it's the other way around. If the wwe kayfab '0' remains, it will remembered more as a trivia.

both are great, both once in a generation talents. Floyd for being arguably the most complete fighter ever/best defensive, Pac for being the better entertainer, having people out of their seats etc.

No matter how much you *******s try to discredit FMJ, boxing pundits, media, fellow boxers know how good he is.

He pretty much ruled an entire generation.

Pac is the second fighter of his generation, and on paper a 8 division champ.

BOTH are ATG's both will be remembered.

given boxing historians are likely to be neither ***** nor *******, both. i also suspect whatever happens their names will be linked, you won't hear of 1 without the other.

Both will be remembered as two of the best of their eras but never really proved who was THE BEST because they both ducked each other!
