I know but theres room for blind welsh faith haha, I still wouldnt mind seeing the fight though, would be a good purse for Rees at the end of the day.

Ive just got a soft spot for welsh fighters

all joking aside Jordan, I relly like rees as a fighter & wouldnt write him off, Burns has the reach, reflexes & jab to nullify the welsh fire******* but Rees is an explosive little man with no shortage of skill, smarts & power & although I would pick burns to prevail? It wouldnt be an easy nights work for the Rickster.

I'd be bored by a Rees matchup. He's dealt with Martinez and Katsidis, whats the point in seeing him against a smaller, less powerful, lower level pressure fighter? Seems totally pointless and lacking in drama.

If he's going British it has to be Mitchell.

Has to be Mitchell, it's the only fight that makes sense right now and Fish eyes knows it, Burns boxed superbly against Kats the other night and i'd have him beating Mitchell also!!

Be great to get it in the Kelvin hall, place was buzzing when Ricky beat Martinez be even better when he handles Mitchell :)

  6. Actually I wouldn't mind him slapping the **** out of Average Alex Arthur for 12 rounds.

Anything to shut up that deluded, arrogant ****.

Burns boxed superbly on Saturday night, on that evidence alone he'd be a solid favourite over Mitchell.

Mitchell still has the ban I think.

Reckon it will be Alex Arthur or Willie Limmond if he beats Crolla.

His curfew is finished by early January. It's just more likely Frank will put him in an easy defence (or three) before Mitchell.

Alex Arthur or Willie Limond? :patsch

Really hope Ricky doesn't have another year of terrible defences :-( He proved Saturday that he's definitely world level and there are plenty of good fighters between super feather and light welter to get Ricky another good win.

Totally agree, he's deffo a world level operator and there are plenty good fights for him to earn out of at that level. I feel like I owe it to Ricky to pick him to win in his next fight, but Alas if its Mitchell I will be picking the londoner.

For me I'd be happy with any of these boxers:

Juan Manuel Marquez - don't think it will happen
Robert Guerrero - although I believe he is LWW now

    Kevin Mitchell
    Brandon Rios
    John Murray
    Anthony DeMarco
    Miguel Vasquez
    Henry Lundy
    John Molina
    Richard Abril
    Sharif Bogere
    Vincente Escobego
    Gavin Rees
    Paulus Moses

or how about these three who have just come of defeats

    Miguel Acosta
    Urbano Antillon
    Jorges Linares

There is enough talent there for a decent scrap, anything below these would be disappointing imo.

If he wants an easier fight before looking at a big name like Rios etc then there are several names on that list that I feel Burns would be a heavy favorite.

Forget the Arthurs and the Limonds etc, he should be cracking on and trying to assert himself as the divisions best and looking for big fights he can get out in the states etc. He will only get there if he fights competitors, taking easy paydays will only hold him back imo.

    any off..

    Urbano Antillon
    Michael Katsidis
    Antonio DeMarco (WBC)
    Jorge Linares

    Vincente Escobedo
    Miguel Acosta
    Kevin Mitchell
    Ameth Diaz

    all fights Ricky can win.
