IMO, both them boys are gonna have trouble with thier size. They both young so drainin' down isn't killin' them YET. Canelo is not very tall, yet quite thick, and IMO he'll be in trouble if he had to go to the higher weights.

JR is comin' in the ring as a Cruiser already. He's got better size, IMO, but his skills too will get him in trouble when he's not fighting 154 lbr's comin in @ 180 + lbs. :yep

For sure, Martinez is the champ but atleast Zbik was a 160 pounder who was ranked #1 with the WBC before he fought JR. Matthew Hatton was a Welterweight who was not even ranked by the WBC and was allowed to contest for the 154 pound title. Which one is the bigger gift?

 

Would like to see Rubio get the win in this fight the guy is a warrior and he delivers nice knockouts so Its WAR RUBIO all the way.

I agree that Chavez and Alvarez need to up the competition but they seem to be going that direction. I'd disagree on Chavez getting a gift with Zbik, it was a good close fight that I scored for Chavez if someone thinks Zbik won thats fine but it was a close fight no gifts/robberies in tht fight.

I agree 100% that Canelo did get a big gift. But Canelo did beat his little opponent. Jr. didn't but, received the belt so it's a big ole' gift. You see what I'm sayin? Can we agree that both fights didn't help out the sport of boxing?

Yes, Zbik was ranked #1 even though he had a **** poor resume and was there for the taking. Doesn't change the fact Chavez is on that protected path that Arum loves to lay out.

Rubio is Jr's first true test IMHO.

Hey if Chavez beat's Rubio fair and square, I'll be the first to give the kid his props. I got no problems with that.

Can someone explain to me how Chavez beating Zbik is supposed to be more impressive than Alvarez beating Rhodes? And please don't say that it's because Zbik had a belt because that was a damn joke. Rhodes was a number 1 ranked mandatory too.

 

I don't like either one. We can agree that they hurt the sport with Jr and hurt there own credibilty with Canelo, bc they stripped the lineal in Jr's case but they sactioned a can for Can-nelo.

I think Kirkland stops canelo and Jr may lose to a fighter a drunk Pavlik made cry in the ring. Martinez would beat Jr's ass imo.
