Given that most non-British boxing fans have probablly seen about 3 rounds of Khan in action, I personally think they should STFU and stop offering half assed opinions on subjects they know nothing about.

So I guess when I do a poll in 2-3 weeks time, we can count on your votes going to Kotelnik? (you-- the people bitching about Khan getting votes)

    Juan Diaz
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Joan Guzman
    Edwin Valero
    Michael Katsidis
    Ali Funeka

The first 4 on that list all knock him out in brutal fashion, in my opinion.

    Yes, even Joan Guzman.

I thought you'd name Guzman... but he can't make 140 anymore, apparently! (hence why Juan Diaz turned him down from what I gather).

    My list would be:
    1) Marquez
    2) Edwin Valero
    3) Juan Diaz

Though, he CAN beat Juan Diaz inside 8 or 9... but i just wouldn't bet on it.

I think he can beat Katsidis, though by keeping him at range & staying on the outside.... & Funeka too.

Juan Diaz is the worst possible match-up for Amir Khan out of all those names. He forces himself on the inside and throws combination's with mean intentions. If he landed on Marquez and made him do the dance, then you should believe he'll not only land on Khan, but put him to sleep. I give Khan no more than 20% chance in a fight with Juan Diaz, who was more than competitive with the consensus number 2 P4P last time out.

Khan can beat Funeka and Katsidis, but I wouldn't bet the house on it. Khan is NOT the most impressive prospect in the world right now. Not even close.

Being considered a good boxer is as much about having the right opposition to demonstrate heart and whatnot against, as it is about skill. On that note, I'd say that whoever comes out on top of the current crop at 168 will have good chance of being remembered in the history books. The division is packed with talent, and if one guy consolidates himself as undisputed champion of the division, he'll have been through so many wars with worthy opponents that people will remember him for a loing time afterwards.

Edit: My bet is on Kessler (or Dawson if he moves down).

Juanma, but I'd put Jacobs and Lara ahead of a number of guys on the poll. Chad Dawson and Timothy Bradley should really be on the poll as well. They're younger than half the guys up there.

Most of these guys have not fought anyone of note, and until that happens its really hard to tell...

but I think that the four that I like in no order

    Ward
Dirrell who didnt even make the list:huh
Ortiz even though for some reason he reminds me of Vargas
Donaire who is the most proven on that list

That is true but they have already broken though and are already fighting the gen before, so they will likely go down with that gen.

    ..that's why it's called prediction & why it's more interesting :D

Yezzer.. already broken through. Plus, It's not about what they've done to date.. it's about what they WILL (or SHOULD) go on to do in your opinion!

However, thing with Bradley is... I don't think anyone would suggest it will be him. I only put up fighters who I thought people would suggest.
    Admittedly though I forgot a certain Russian-speaker.
