I just don't get where mazallan thinks smigga is cocky. It's prob to wind me up more than anything. End of the day, smith has got no reason to fight groves. Groves is going to have to wait his turn.

Theres nothing wrong with being cocky. What you want him to have zero confidence act like a coconut?

Smith has heart I give him that.

Course Smith should fight Groves. He should want to fight Groves to prove he is the best. Show the young pretender. Groves made a statement, Smith being a proud champion should give him his shot. There is nobody more deserving.

Dilks ain't even on Groves level, pointless.

It has happened, groves has talked himself into the fight. Tell me this. groves or magee, interms of money, and career progression, which fight should smith take?

There is a great irony in your logic here. You want Magee, the European champion to take a step back and fight the British champion. But Smith the British champion should not give a young, talented Commonwealth champ a crack?

Come on man, put the Smith goggles down a sec.

magee handles paul smith pretty handy imo, magee is above euro class but below world class if that makes sense. he should go for a world shot even if in germany get his last nice payday

groves should be able to take both in about 18 months although until he fights someone that intends to actually win its hard to tell.

degale for me as soon as the going gets tough and people start banging his body in the 8th 9th 10th rounds he will fold unfortunately

magee needs to fight people like smith who are genuine challengers for his crown. Groves is a 10 fight prospect who hasn't beat a top ten british SMW yet. I understand what you are saying, but i ain't got goggles on, am looking at this in terms of it making sense and in fairness too

He's been given honourary citizenship of Latvia, and is thus ineligible for the British title.

put this into perspective, groves with his supposed talent, and durability, will be ready to challenge early 2011. It is easy to build someone up because of their potential, the proof is how their career develops. I will hold my hands up big time if groves wins the british in 2011, i just dont think it is happening this year. If smith doesn't fight groves, it is because it don't make career sense, not because he is running, because beleive me that man will fight anyone he has too, he just doesn't have too right now

Groves is the best SMW in Britain that Smith hasn't fought. Simple as that. Unless he does get the fight with Magee he's wasting his time if he fights anybody other than George Groves.

9 fights or 19 fights he's the best, experience ain't **** when the difference is between a talented fighter and a load of mediocre talent that Smith would be a huge favorite over. He looks the best, he's just got a result that says he's the best of the rest, he's plain the best. Carl Dilks, Kenny Anderson or whoever else forget the lot of them.

Why wouldn't Smith want to get the Lonsdale belt outright? That should be his motivation, unless of course he can get the fight with Magee which would be a good move. If he can't, him and Warren should be looking at Groves but they probably won't.
