There is a serious lack of US marketability on the horizon. I believe if Triple G and Canelo win their next bouts and then face off the winner of that fight will be the face of ppv for next few years.

Nah. Not necessary with Americans. Canelo has to learn English though.

He could be the guy. I'll add him to the list. I just forgot him when I made it.

Can the next PPV star not be a "defensive wizard" with a networks commentating crew trying to tell the fans that they are experiencing something special and if they cant see that they aren't boxing fans.

It won't be. Mayweather had a negative influence on the sport overall. The next star will be an action fighter for sure. He probably won't last as long as Floyd but guarantee it will be someone with a very good offense.

Agreed for Canelo; but, worried about GGG learning English. part of GGG's charm was his funny speeches after each fight. this will go away...

Nah, he's got a ways to go before he's english level is that of eloquence. A ways to go. So no fear, you will still have funny catchphrases for a few more years:good

Id like to say Crawford could be the next B-Hop of American PPVs but for some ****ing reason hes fighting the likes of Dulorme and Dierry Jean now.

Hopefully none. The PPV model is hilariously outdated.

Spence if he keeps improving. His style seem really punishing. If he can keep it against the B level and A level fighters he can become a ppv star. Thurman seems to hitting a ceiling pretty fast I think he will start losing pretty soon.
