I liked him coming up, but he seems to be regressing rather than progressing at this point.

My guess would be Povetkin. He'll lose to Wlad, but he'll eventually get back in the mix.

Depends. He starts putting out consistently amazing performances at HW and people might pick up. If he were heavy hitting he'd be a star right now.

Boytsov could be so much more than he is now. Give him a better trainer and we would see

One very good question thread . Lets see :think . I believe that Povetkin will make it in the future. I don't think that Boytsov will.
    Adamek perhaps
    Am I forgeting someone...? :huh

Platov went missing when the fight was supposed to be finalized, his management literally could find him. I also read Platov's manager saying that fight is being discussed again currently. I'd like to see it.

Platov performed well in his recent fight with Gbenga, dropping him with body shots in every round and stopping him but physically he looked kind of soft. Looked out of shape.

lol You hate Russians or something?

Boytsov - only real question i have is his chin, haven't seen it tested much. He has obvious power, fast hands and good combo's but people don't seem to give his boxing ability enough credit.

He's very good at slipping shots, using his head movement economically but effectivly and after slipping he'll close distance quickly while countering. His counter punching is great and a main asset in getting inside, quick feet too. I honestly think he'd **** Haye right now.

Pulev - seems to have everything, the size to compete with a Helenius or Klitschko and all around technical abilities to outbox a smaller skilled HW like Adamek along with power. I really think he could become the top guy post Klichko era.

Adamek is 32/33. I don't imagine he'll be around a whole lot longer than Volodymyr will and i don't see him beating Klichko.

I think Povetkin, Adamek, Boytsov and Haye - if he sticks around - will all be tough competition for eachother. The top 2 or 3 of them will emerge with belts and Pulev and Helenius with another. (I'v heard posters on here say that Pulev handles Helenius rather easily in sparring sessions between the two.)

Solis if he ever decides to stop being an obese slob could be up in that mix too.

Vyacheslav Glazkov (No one has mentioned yet) A Ukrainian who has a very good amateur pedigree is another possible guy. His pro career has not got much attention so far (5-0) is 6'3 about 230 at the moment. He won his debut very easily over Cetinkaya, Juan Carlos Gomez just fought the same guy and went 8 rounds.

At the 2007 World Amateur Championships he got Silver, losing to Cammarelle. It was very close, he gave Cammarelle a standing 8 and you could make the case for Glazkov having won imo.

you talking about getting a title belt, or considered as the #1 heavyweight? Adamek is on track to get a titlebelt in time before retirement. The Klitschko's will have to both retire before someone's considered #1.

Yeah but they re-scheduled- Gbenga was suppossed to be Pulev. This time Pulev pulled out, from the story I heard because he just needed some rest.

Can't say how excited I am about Pulev and Helenius, though.
