Who will be the next spectacular KTFO victim after Khan?

i see this as a possibility but I just feel that there povetkin doesnt really have anything to threaten wlad with. Thompson was big enough to be able to try to stand and trade with wlad. povetkin is smaller.


to be honest i see a repeat of wlad-ibragimov

 

Thompson had ENDLESS opportunities to land his straight left but was too cautious to throw it even though Wladimir was standing IN THE position for him to throw and land that punch easily but he kept holding in back in fear of getting caught in return. Ibragimov' style of fighting is nothing like Povetkin so I don't really see that happening, if you said similar to Peter then sure I might agree because Povetkin is an aggressive fighter who will keep his punches coming unless he's stopped and that's the style that's always dangerous for Wladimir, the aggressive style, neither Ibragimov nor Thompson applied it. The last one to affectively apply it was Peter and Wladimir didn't look great in that fight, Brewster's rematch attempt was horrible to be mentioned simply because Wladimir had him all controlled and figured out. Not sure if he will do the same against Povetkin but we'll see.

he's ok as a puncher. he's very good inside and very quick. he throws sharp combinations but he does not have 'heavy hands' at all. povetkin can hurt u if he lands a combination but not with one punch. he must drag wlad deep into the fight and hope he implodes once again. i guess it always a possibility but i feel wlad's experience and ring smarts will prevent such a meltdown again. if i were povetkin, i'd go to the body from round 1 on.

but sasha's effectiveness dwindles as he moves outside. Wlad will keep it at mid and long range and force povetkin to follow him around the ring. povetkin will learn the hard way to "never follow a puncher"
