I don't get why you all like Sonnen so much. He talks the same type of **** all the time. He made fun of Crocop, saying some stupid **** about how the firepower in his city alone could take out the Croatian military, dogging on Crocop's military background, talking all that **** about a legend, when at the end of the day he's a real estate agent who's style is boring as ****, and is going to get the **** kicked out of him because the only thing he can offer is a takedown.

Not trying to stick up for Anderson Silva here, he fights bull****. But, with Maia he only had to fear the subs, he is so much more advanced at striking, and Maia really didn't offer much of a threat anywhere other that on the ground via sub.

How exactly is Sonnen supposed to beat Anderson Silva? Is he really going to put him on his back for five rounds and gum him to death with his **** gnp and inability to submit?

If you think about it, the only thing Anderson really has to do is look out for the takedown, which in itself isn't going to end the fight.. If he had competent striking, capable of forcing Anderson to respect him, then I think he would have a shot, because he would have to be wary of strikes and takedowns, which actually creates openings.

He knows Sonnen is going to charge legs. I'm gonna say it right now, Sonnen is gonna get knocked out, he's hype.

I think Sonnen after how he easily manhandled Nate would come to this fight focused and confident. As long as he trains for sub defense, there is a possibilty that he can ride Silva for five rounds. He did it to Nate who is IMHO far stronger than Silva.

If he can avoid a number of sub attempts, I can see Chael stealing 3 rounds of the fight.

And here I was thinking that I was the only person baffled by the Sonnen fan club. I've seen other guys get ripped to shreds for one offhand comment, but there are a bunch of people running claiming that Sonnen's immature BS is "genius." I don't get it.

I think Silva will just come out and dominate this time around, he's probably very annoyed at the press that's been out about him of late and wants to change it up with a dominant performance.

Everyone talking **** about Anderson Silva being un-entertaining and bull****. What is the difference between what Anderson did vs Maia and what guys like Kos do?

Kos, quite obviously put more time and effort into insulting Daley than he put effort into trying to finish the fight via sub or GnP.

He was merely trying to control the pace and action, this is the same **** that everyone is upset at Anderson for, except what Anderson Silva has done is more overt, it too is bull****, but he hasn't made a career of it.. In the end, you people with a background in wrestling know what I'm talking about.

I'm interested in fights where sub attempts and gnp are a factor. GSP has not finished a few fights now, but you notice he commits hard to subs, he will go for subs even if they take him out of dominant position. Vs. this **** that Sonnen does..

So, Sonnen can be a tough guy, cool. He wont tap, that shows his fighting pride and it is admirable to a point. But I think people need to realize that his style isn't entertaining, what pisses people off about Anderson Silva, basically controlling a fight by not engaging is the same thing Sonnen does, only its on the ground.

The most entertaining thing about Sonnen is his **** talk tbh. But that's gonna get old quick. He's not anything like a Matt Hughes who dominates, goes for subs.. He's just a dude who will grind another dude for however many rounds there are for a victory.
